California is close to approving the strongest net neutrality law in the US

California’s state Assembly has permitted a bill that would not just restore the net neutrality protections enacted below President Obama, but go outside of them, probably creating the strictest rules in the region.

The bill now heads back again to the Senate for a closing vote. But that wants to happen quickly, or advocates will have to retain waiting around: tomorrow is the past working day for possibly chamber to go legislation until finally future year.

The bill, passed in a 58-seventeen vote right now, prohibits world wide web suppliers from blocking or throttling any authorized applications, web-sites, or other solutions and bans the compensated prioritization of data.
